All communication is securely routed through Verena's servers to ensure privacy, without leaving any traces on your device. Your important data is stored and encrypted locally. Verena aims to safeguard your journey towards a brighter future.
The emergency feature offers a structured process to connect users with valuable resources during crisis situations. You can access directions to key locations, discover tailored resources, contact emergency personnel, and receive guidance on necessary steps for your safety and well-being.
Incident logs are based on data gathered from law enforcement agencies and academic institutions. This feature enables users to document specific details of incidents like abuse, discrimination, and harassment. By keeping track of events and essential information, users can potentially report incidents to authorities.
The Record function allows you to capture escalating situations through video recordings and instantly send an emergency alert to your contacts if needed. This feature is particularly useful when seeking evidence in high-stress scenarios.
The Timer tool lets you set a predetermined duration, after which your emergency contacts will be notified. It serves as a precautionary measure in situations where the outcome may be uncertain.
The Location feature provides real-time information on your whereabouts relative to your chosen contacts' addresses. By visualizing nearby points of interest in augmented reality mode, users can better assess their proximity to safety resources during emergencies.
In circumstances where privacy is paramount, the Shutdown function allows for instant deletion of all Verena data by entering a predefined keyword. This feature generates a faux "server down" screen to deter unauthorized access in critical situations.
